Description

Comes with beltpack, lapel mic, guitar jack lead and power supply.

The S4.16 UHF range may be switched between sixteen frequencies. In the case of the channel 38 versions, up to eight systems may be used simultaneously and up to twelve may be used with the channel 69/70 models, four of which may be used license-free in the UK on channel 70. Systems are available with belt-pack or handheld transmitters. Belt packs can be switched for use with a microphone or musical instrument, and are available with lapel or head-worn microphones. Handheld transmitters are available with dynamic or condenser capsules. Multiple systems are also available, racked and ready for use, comprising four, eight or twelve receivers mounted in a flight case, with the necessary leads and accessories and either belt pack or handheld transmitters.

The UK channel 70 frequencies used are 863.150, 863.725, 864.150, 864.850 MHz; UK channel 69 frequencies are 854.900, 855.900, 856.575, 857.950, 859.500, 860.400, 860.900, 861.750 MHz. The channel 38 models are programmed in three 'sets' of frequencies, one of which should be used at a single location: 606.600, 607.500, 608.150, 609.150, 610.550, 611.250, 613.150MHz are used in the 'Entertainment' set. The 'Community' set uses 607.825, 608.825, 610.250, 610.900 MHz. The 'Broadcast' set uses 606.950, 608.500, 609.500, 611.600 MHz. All the frequencies in any one set may be used simultaneously, so up to eight may be used at a single location. Note that the three sets are chosen to be 'stand alone' sets, they are not compatible with each other and should not be used together on one site. Use of channel 69 and 38 frequencies require a licence. In addition the availability of these frequencies varies with location. Please see UK Legal Radio Mic Frequency Guide.

These are the models above the S4.4RX. Like the S4.4RX, both are diversity types, which compare automatically the signal between two antennae and choose the strongest signal as the transmitter is moved about. All use phase-lock-loop quartz-controlled tuning for stability, and have a professional, balanced, audio output. The S4.16 models, in addition, can be used on sixteen frequencies, up to twelve simultaneously with the EAW and up to eight simultaneously with the G3W, rather than four, have detachable antennae, which may thus be positioned remotely for better signal pickup, and may be rack mounted using an optional accessory. The S4.16RX-EAW uses UK channels 69 and 70; the S4.16RX-G3W uses UK channel 38. Please see notes above.

On the front are LEDs to show supply 'on', audio peak overload, and which of the two diversity channels is currently providing the signal. Radio signal-strength is indicated by a bar-graph of four more LEDS. On the rear are two TNC connectors to which the antennas mount, a co-axial DC power input, mute/squelch level control, screwdriver-operated channel selection switch and the outputs. There is a balanced XLR connection and an unbalanced 6.35mm jack output. Both are adjusted by a level control.

Audio frequency response: Limited by transmitter type, see below. Audio signal to noise: better than 100dBA. Audio output: Up to +10dBu / +16 dBu via jack / XLR. Power source: 12V, 100mA. Dimensions: 35 x 213 x 98 (h x w x d)mm. Weight: 580g approximately.

Included accessories: Instructions. When included in a complete system, two antennae and a plugtop AC power adapter with UK plug are also provided.

These pocket transmitters, which may be clipped to clothing with their belt-clips, operate on sixteen pre-programmed frequencies. The plastic body has a hinged lid which reveals a battery compartment, controls to set frequency, gain and select either microphone or guitar input. On the front there is an on/off switch and power LED; on the top a screw-in antenna and a 3.5mm input jack. This has a screw-locking facility. The S4.16BTX-EAW uses UK channels 69 and 70; the S4.16BTX-G3W uses UK channel 38. Please see notes above.

Audio frequency response: 60Hz-16kHz +/-3dB. Power output: 10mW maximum. Operating time: 10 hours approximately using an alkaline battery. Power source: 9V PP3 battery. Dimensions: 60 x 100 x 30 (w x h x d) mm, including belt clip. Weight: 90g.

Included accessories: Instructions, antenna.
