The tuba, which produces the lowest pitched sound of all brass instruments, brings an essential luster and sheen to any musical genre from jazz and classical through to pops.
While¯ Jazz¯ musicians often play the saxophone or trumpet, they play the¯ tuba¯ as well. There are not so many opportunities, but the¯ tuba ¯can be a part of¯ jazz¯ music.
All models in the Odyssey range of high quality brass band and orchestral instruments have been meticulously designed down to the finest details by Peter Pollard. It™s hardly surprising that, with over 50 years experience and having listened to the wants™ of countless high profile musicians, this master craftsman is one of the most sought after custom brass and woodwind builders in the world.
The Odyssey Premiere 'Bb' Bass Tuba brings every element of the company™s DNA together, within sculpted design, masterful technology, superb playability and performance.

Bb bass tubas, are renowned for producing the lowest pitched sound in the brass instrument family, providing a bass foundation in concert bands, orchestras, brass bands, jazz bands and military bands.
With a generous 19""/483mm diameter bell, the Odyssey Premiere 'Bb' Bass Tuba excels in the lower frequencies, and with 4 piston valves, allows the player to effortlessly reach lower octaves with superior intonation, whilst remaining warm and dynamic with a full bodied delivery throughout the higher registers.
